Restaurant: great portion size, good selection of western and authentic Dutch fare. Serious fly issue though. Made the dining experience miserable, and seriously questioned the kitchen sanitation when it as well as the front doors were left open. Store: HUGE selection, everything from gluten free stroopies to an entire wall of licorice; teas, sauces, recipe kits, even calendars & souvenirs. Plus the regular store stuff youd want in a beach town-pop, chips, etc. Ice Cream: not the best laid out to try and see the ice cream flavours while the person ahead of you is still in the way, but well organized staff, several sizes and formats available, loads of flavours, and even a last chance Dutch treat selection to tempt you.
It's a lovely little place to grab some delicious food, fun dutch snacks and ice cream. They are a gas station, general store and restaurant all in one. The restaurant serves delicious affordable food in massive portions, try the pie!!
Breakfast buffet is a no brainer. All the bacon and sausage and tater tots you can eat! Fresh whipped cream for the waffles. Eggs are so so.
ngl I had heard about the iconic wooden shoe store years before I actually visited it, and I always pictured the store actually being in the shape of a giant wooden shoe. So I was really disappointed to find out thats not the case. Its still a good place to go for gas, ice cream and stroop waffles tho!
Great selection of dutch groceries and ice cream! The restaurant also offers large portions, and excellent home-cooked meals. The ice cream scooper guys handled our large group very efficiently.
