Amazing staff and service. Our client is nearby and their clients sites as well. Its perfect there for us. Clean and great people.
Very nice. Well worth staying in. Laundry takes four loonies, two to wash, two to dry. No bank machine so bring change. Soap available at the desk along with snacks and essentials. They make dinner for the guests a few times a week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Breakfast is varied. Scrambled eggs one day French toast the text then little omeletts. The ubiquitous waffle machine of course and some healthy options and fruit. Pretty quiet and attached to an A&W so easy to get a meal if you're in a rig. The UFA is right next door and if you fuel up there you can park large vehicles. There is a pool of course pretty much the same footprint as all the other Canalta Hotels. The only reason this looses a star is because I once stayed in a hotel with a buffet breakfast that had an actual chef on staff. The food here is good. There is variety and the staff are friendly. The rooms are very clean. If you want anything from town do it before 7 because almost everything is closed by then.
Our stay at the Rimbey Canalta was fantastic. The rooms were large and clean and the staff were fantastic. We had a novice hockey team staying there and the kids had a great time in the pool. We were there during Easter and the "Easter bunny" showed up with little gift bags for the kids. I would recommend this hotel to anyone business or pleasure.
I slept very well. The HVAC was quiet, there was no traffic noise, the bedsheets were smooth, the mattress was nice, there was a wide variety of pillows to choose from, and the room temperature was easy to adjust... This was one of my best hotel sleeps in years.The facility was nice and tidy and the staff were friendly and laid back. The "warm buttery popcorn" advertised on their website turned out to be a small theatre-style popping unit in the lobby. The popcorn was certainly warm, but it was far too bland to be described as "buttery." That's okay though... I didn't pick the hotel for the popcorn!Free breakfast was the usual sad offering you see at most small-town hotels these days, but there's an A&W attached to the hotel and their pancakes were delicious.
Great room. Good quiet nights sleep. Would have given 5 stars if outlets actually put out enough power to charge my phone over night.
